Bald Eagle: Controversial Killers
The resonating sound of a gunshot fills the forest surrounding the old, run-down, one bedroom cabin in the German Black Forest. A man sits in a chair, air no longer pumping in and out of his lungs. A splatter of blood is present on the wall behind him. A gun lies on the floor beside him, missing only one shot of ammunition. The police believe this to be a suicide, but two top-notch detectives think otherwise. This is a job for detectives Bald Eagle and 8-Ball! Gary Kinkead, codename Bald Eagle, is a high school history teacher during the day, but one of Germany’s top detectives at night. There are many theories on how Bald Eagle got his codename, but many believe it is because of his shiny bald head and bushy beard. Only in his late twenties, Bald Eagle still has a few things to learn about the detective business. …show more content…
8-Ball has been in the detective business much longer than Bald Eagle. He has sort of taught Bald Eagle the ropes of the business, acting as a mentor. Lewis’ nickname, however, has more of a mysterious origin than Bald Eagle’s, as only 8-Ball knows where the nickname originates. The two aficionados enter the abandoned cabin in the woods, showing the German police officers their badges on the way in. Bald Eagle and 8-Ball make their way to the supposed suicide scene, which is located in the cabin’s sole bedroom. The two detectives stand on either side of the room, Bald Eagle on the left, 8-Ball on the right. They are both wearing gloves so they don’t leave fingerprints on any of the evidence.
