Baby Think It Over Research Paper
The Baby Think It Over program gives you an accurate perspective of what it is like to take care of an infant. A baby needs all of your attention and it requires lots of patience. The past few days of being with the baby stimulator made me realize that it is hard to be a mother, and that you must be prepared for parenthood.

My experience differed because I didn't think that the baby would be fussy and need a lot of time. This project affected my routine completely. I planned to get a lot of school work done during the weekend but it was nearly impossible due to the fact that the baby needed my attention most of the time. I also had to ask for days off at work, this also proves that when you're a mom you have to let things go in order to care for your children. After spending time with the baby it gave me a different perspective on teen pregnancy, I now know that you have to be ready to become a parent. Having a baby at a young age isn't

They helped me carry the car seat and even watched the baby while I showered. If I would end up having a baby at a young age my parents would be upset but I know they would help me. The reason they helped me with the baby stimulator is because they know that it would show me that being a mother isn't easy. Including my coworkers, who are all mostly mothers, said that it's a good way to help me become aware of the responsibilities towards being a mother.

This experience is very unique and I'm glad I had the opportunity to go through this process. I know many teen mothers and now I am aware that it isn't easy for them. I realized that I can wait a couple more years to become a mother. I would recommend all high schools to have "The Baby Think It Over Program" because it would help lower down teen pregnancy and give more knowledge to teenage girls. Being a mother is a full-time job and it comes with many responsibilities, you must be prepared or it can

Who would have thought that I'd become a mother at sixteen years old? I certainly did not. A lot changed from the time I found out I was pregnant, to the time I gave birth. I found out I was pregnant on a cold, snowy day. As scared as I had been, I knew that it was time to be responsible and make the best of my upcoming situation. Fifteen weeks had passed and, finally, I found out that my bundle of joy is, in fact, a girl! About five weeks later, I decided to go shopping for baby girl clothes, a crib, and a car seat. By that time, I had been twenty-five weeks along in my pregnancy, and I was ever so anxious to meet my daughter. Luckily, I had school and babysitting to distract me and help pass the time. Next thing that I knew, It was time for…

In addition, the experiment has high ecological validity as it very likely that the infant will be in circumstances were it will left alone and meet strangers, therefore can be easily related to real life. However, it is also arguable that that the departure of the mother in a strange place can be very stressful for the infant. Therefore, some psychologists argue that conducting the experiment in the infant’s home can cause less stress and can be a suitable…

Don’t worry, everything is going to be fine. You’re just going to have to change the rest of your life. Many people think teen pregnancy is highly unlikely, until, well, your stomach starts to keep growing outward. The MTV show, Teen Mom, takes us into the lives of four pregnant teenage women who face the challenges and the struggles of having a child early in life. Many people might oppose my view and say that this show is completely worthless and just shows couples who have no idea what they’re doing, but for me, I believe that the show is an entertaining yet positive influence that brings out a visual reality of teenage pregnancy, a pregnancy that can change the rest of your life.…

With what I have learned from the My Virtual Child program, I now understand the complexities of raising and guiding a child. Mere decisions made during infancy can affect a child long term, physically, cognitively, and even emotionally. To make important developmental decisions cannot simply be classified as a challenge, it is one of the hardest things parents experience. Making decisions for one’s self, as opposed to making decisions for one’s child is so challenging that most people will not understand until they have children. Even with the realistic impression this program has, I would venture to say that even the majority of my classmates and I do not understand parenting difficulties to the fullest extent.…

It is unbelievable how time flies before our eyes when it comes to raising our babies. One moment I was joyful to find out I was expecting a beautiful baby girl, Jazlyn Nicole, to the next moment where I was heartbroken to know that my time with my baby was over since she was off to college. As parents, we play a huge role in their lives since we are the ones that mold our children into the adults they become since we see all the potential they have and encourage them through life. Throughout the raising of my child I was able to learn a lot.…

My Baby Think It Over experience in my eyes was a very overwhelming one. The responsibility of being a parent is definitely a great one. This project did help me realize a lot about parenting though. As a parent you’re suppose to have constant contact with your baby whether it’s feeding, burping, changing it’s diaper, putting it to sleep, rocking it, or playing with him or her. The most frustrating responsibility for me was waking up in the middle of the night to feed or change the baby’s diaper. I love my sleep and waking up in the middle of night, being awake for 20 minutes and trying to go back to sleep did cause me to feel exhausted. But there was also rewarding responsibilities of being a parent. Even though the baby wasn’t real and couldn’t hug or touch you. It was still a very rewarding feeling when the baby would coo at the end of feeding or make a happy noise after having it’s diaper changed. Just having the satisfaction of knowing you’re taking care of your baby in the right way is a good feeling. Doing the Baby Think It Over project has made me realize that nothing is worth getting pregnant at this age. Trying to manage school work, studying and focusing is something that would not be easy for any girl to do during high school. I give credit to the girls who are going through something like having a baby this young and who are getting through it. Having a baby is a burden and changes your life completely. Taking time away from spending time with your friends, going out, getting enough sleep, having free time for yourself. Everything like that is taken away from you.…

Becoming a teen parent is always a scary thing to go through, but over the years, the United States has been trying new and different ways to lower the occurrence of unplanned pregnancies among teens. There has always been a high rate of teen pregnancies in the United States, and according to The Los Angeles Times, “Teen pregnancy rates in the United States have fallen in recent years, but the country still has a higher rate than any other developed country” (Roan). Even though the rates of teen pregnancy in the United States have fallen, they are still the highest in the world. Throughout the years, the United States has been experimenting and brainstorming new ideas to prevent teens from falling into peer pressure of having sex. They added child development classes to the high schools to teach teens what happens when they decide to get pregnant or accidentally get pregnant. Becoming a teen mom has many effects on teens that are forced to grow up faster, change their priorities, and push back their future plans.…

    My Virtual Child

My virtual child to me is a great program. My baby was a girl Skyhila Teagan. Raising a child is hard work. Raising children take financial, emotional, and a physical toll on couples or single parents and this program has showed me it takes a lot to be ready for a child. Although we don’t have to get up late night and do anything for the baby, we have to make decisions and care for it which is a huge part of being a parent. Of course children need the basics: diapers, baby wipes, burp clothes, receiving blankets, swaddling blankets, crib, wash clothes, baby shampoo and body wash, diaper cream, baby oil and lotion, gripe water, pacifiers, baby carrier, car seat, diaper bad, rocking chair, digital thermometer, baby monitor night light and the list goes on and on. However, the most important things along with the basics are love, attention, and affection. Not only is there a lot the baby has to have but also there is a lot of things that mommy needs also which were not a part of this program but are relevant. Mommy has to have nursing pillow, milk storage bottles, breast pump, sitz herb spray, disposable underwear, big long maxi pads, nightgown or comfy pajamas, nursing tops or nursing shawl, postpartum support belt, scar healing cream .This program taught me a lot about raising children it’s a lot harder than it appears to be. I had to make a lot of decisions and it affects another (my virtual child’s) life not just mines. That was the hard part in this program I had to truly think about a lot of the decisions I made because they affected her and her development and day not just mine. In the beginning she had issues with sleeping and food. Then she had problems with daycare. She was a little of a loner at the beginning but by me taking her to the park some with other children she warmed up and did better. She fed off of my energy. I did not know babies emotions sometimes depend on the parent or main caregiver. When strangers were around she looked to my expression…
