Atticus Finch's Representation Of Equality
Atticus Finch is one of the greatest representation of honor, humility, and desire for equality. When Atticus tells Scout, "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view - until you climb into his skin and walk around in it." (Lee 39) This explains and shows us that Atticus wanted Scout to understand other people. Atticus explains her that she can’t go around and push people. She has to understand how other people feel. This also shows us about Atticus’ honor and how he respects everybody. Atticus teaches us that understanding others is key and shows good character. In the text Atticus says, "As you grow older, you'll see white men cheat black men every day of your life, but let me tell you something

    Atticus is a white lawyer who lives in this racially prejudice town yet he is willing to stand up for a black man. A prime example of Atticus’ ability to help Scout mature is his advice and teaching Scout to not be judgmental of other people based on their appearance or actions.
