Detail:A living arrangement that maximizes independence and self-determination, especially of disabled persons living in a community instead of in a medical facility. b. Detail: A social movement asserting that people with disabilities should have the same civil rights and life choices as people without disabilities. B. Main Point: Independent and dependent person 1. Pattern of Organization: Compare and contrast a. Detail:Free from the influence, guidance, or control of another or others; self-reliant. An Independent Person is someone who doesn 't always need others. Others include influence, guidance, control, etc. You can rely on yourself, instead of constantly looking to others for affirmation, or to help you.
