The case study “The Twenty Dollar Bill” involves students and their Fourth Amendment rights. The Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution states that citizens are free from unreasonable search and seizure from the government. However, school administration (an extension of government) does have the power to implement searches and seizures that may be outside of the constitutional scope in order to maintain good order and discipline in the school. This is evidenced by the Supreme Court case New Jersey vs. T.L.O where the Supreme Court ruled that requiring schools to obtain warrants for searches would interfere with the swift and informal disciplinary procedures needed in schools. However, the Supreme Court also stated that there must be reasonable grounds to conduct a search and it is limited to individualized suspicion and not group searches. Students do not shed their constitutional rights when they enter school grounds.…

While Lynn has the authority to make the final decision for the company she still values the input of the team members, peers and fellow employees of the hospital. Anther leadership style that Lynn uses is the Transformational leadership style. I have noticed that in the short period of time that Lynn is a motivator. The next Element 4B focuses on leader’s action that use relevant evidence and available research and data to make fair and ethical decisions. Our homework on district suspension and expulsion process was a good practice for me to start with the research before jumping into the conclusions. Before this research, I was not aware about supervised suspension classroom code. I assumed that all suspended students cannot be on school campus, however, I learned that the Board believes that it would be better to manage the student’s behavior by keeping the student at school and provide him/her with supervision. As an administrator, it is easy to make unfair decision if I do not take time to review data and research for effective decision-making.…

Leadership means vision, principle and, integrity. The definition is the power to motivate others through your words and deeds; this word also can be defined as the process of social influence in which a person can enlist the aid and support of the accomplishments of a task (Wikipedia, 2010). However, an alternative view would argue that leaders should follow the necessities of ethics. Furthermore, ethical leadership is an expansion of quality human services, consumers and community citizens, and committed employees (Manning, 2003).…

Using effective ethical leadership is vital in every career field, but it is especially significant when working in human services. I have been a volunteer for over five years, working with women who are attempting to make positive changes and get their lives back on track. Most of these women have just been released from some type of incarceration. Most have lost their families, their homes, their jobs, and their self-worth. Most of these women suffer from alcoholism and addiction to drugs. Many of these women come from homes where some type of substance abuse was prevalent. Many of these women have been abused either physically, emotionally, or both. I work as a bridge between probation and parole and the women I assist, and I try my best to fill this gap with encouraging solutions.…

The course room states that one should be able to define and evaluate a high ethical environment in your organization, which is easy as I am not currently in a company. I want to be with a company where all employees share their failures and successes without violating unspoken taboos (Disch,…
