B. Carefully describe the degree to which you use each of your Learning Patterns.
(Refer to the Personal Learning Profile you developed for your Week Two assignment and any feedback provided by your instructor to determine if you need to refine your responses as you complete this section.)

Sequence: Reflecting on my day to day activities, I have come to see how much of it is governed by sequence. From waking in the morning, completing my activities through the day, and preparing for bed. Everything I do though out a day is organized the same as any other day, with a few minor exceptions. To sum it up, I use sequence far more than my LCI score indicates, although organized disaster is most likely the modifier that brings down the average.

Precision: I still feel that my LCI score for precision is a bit inflated. While I do use it often, and love to search factual information on anything that catches my fancy. I still have a lot of work when it comes to using precision with my education, I tend to second guess myself when taking quiz’s, and occasionally failed to describe of my assignments properly.

Technical Reasoning: While this is my bread and butter it’s also the source of a few problems pertaining to my online education. I’m sure you’re well aware of how much my TR has influenced my writing, and it is often very challenging to form words for writing assignments.

Confluence: My Outside the box thinking has shown itself a few times during the last four weeks on various assignments, usually in the form of attempted humor “quip.” Though I try to keep, that reigned in as it can sometimes be counterproductive to my assignments requirements.

Sociotechnical systems theory was created by researchers in human relations in the early 1950s. They found the two were important and needed for the effectiveness of businesses could reach higher potential when they focused on having the internal workplace and the external of the business (the customers) all uniform. Sociotechnical systems theory is when organizations are effective. This is broken down into two parts: social and technical. The employees make sure they follow orders correctly are the social part. The technical part is having right training knowledge and tools so the business can be productive and effective in making sure the customers are happy and return consistently. Social technical systems theory was started being used by Japanese companies which integrated technical systems and management to achieve high performance. Large U.S. automakers like Ford and Chrysler also started to look this way. They wanted to understand how the Japanese were applying these tactics to make their business and their products achieves.…

I was rated at a score of 24 for Sequence. I use sequence when my most common method becomes overwhelming. I usually go in head first for a solution, for example, if I have to put a bike together, I start by looking at all the parts and researching information about the importance of certain mechanisms and how they work. If, while putting it together, I become confused about parts, I then resort back to the instruction manual to see where I went wrong. I was rated at a 33 for precision. This is how I prefer to work. I like to know about the project in detail before I begin. I research a product before I make purchases as well. Where it would take someone only moments to make a decision on a product, I usually take days or even weeks if there are no time restraints to research the process, and cost in different places. I was rated at a 16 for technical reasoning. I am not a technical person at all. I do not like to put things together. When or if I have to, I go through several channels prior to starting to put something together. I would read about it, look at videos of how to put it together or install it. I tend to procrastinate on technical stuff that is why I prefer to just ask for help from someone who is great at that type of…

There are many advantages to having diversity in a collaborative learning environment including age, religion, physical ability, gender, and sexual orientation. People with other perspectives on things can bring to the table a new way of thinking about things. This can allow a new form of thinking within in the group to come to an understating or agreement to help solve the problem or achieve a goal. It helps other people work together without looking at another person differently because of their background or appearance. I think that it helps bring our culture more together to not be so stereotypical about other people so we can all come to an understanding of one another and keep moving forward in whatever the case may be.…
