The Howling Wolf’s Treaty Signing at Medicine Creek Lodge drawing has a lot less representational is nonobjective than John Taylor’s illustration. I read in this that (Sayre, H.M.) was saying something like the world of art (2010) usually has two different depictions of the Treaty Signing at Medicine Creek Lodge. This is where one illustrates a natural illusionistic art which is compared to something like convention art. This is with Sayre, H.M., posted in 2010, on the pp. 38-39, (Fig, 42). John Taylor, (1867). Taylor provided information on natural objects which these were in a form that was a more recognizable then Sayers was. I think that Wolf’s rendering is was very abstract, It would be more for a child to like because it had a lot of dimensional crayon coloring, But Wolf’s drawing does have a more honest record of the treaty signing at medicine creek lodge than Taylor’s did. Wolf also emphasizes tradition, culture, and detail in greater way than John Taylor’s illustration. And it also just told a lot more about the meaning of the painting just because of the things that was in the coloring such as woman with their hair painted, trees, creeks, and also wooded landscapes.…

    1. formal and iconographic characteristics are seen in high renaissanace, venetian and mannerist paintings. to begin with, in high renaissance michaelangelos Moses is shown holding the 10 commandments. You can clearly see the anger that is dipicted through the facial expression on moses. Michaelangelo wonderfully portrays the psychological states in moses, through the iconographic characteristics of his puffed lower lip, arched toes and the bulging of his veins. the formal characteristics are seen through michealangeols mastery of lines, which help create the anger that is being felt by moses. The formal characteristic of the lining of his beard and clothing show his inner turmoil. In the venetian painting of the virgin of the rocks by Leonardo Da Vinci, the artist magnificantly uses the chiaroscuro method of light and dark to model the expression and emotional states of the figures being portrayed. The lines, soft and subtle give the painting a more intimate feeling. The figures are all shown interacting with one another, praying, pointing, and blessing. He also presents the figures in a pyramidal group and sharing the same environment. The figures emerge through the use of light and shading from the half-light of the cavernous visionary landscape. For mannerism, formal characteristics are clearly seen in Parmigianino's Madonna with the long neck. Although nothing is shown in proportion the painting still apears soft and smooth, through the lines and colors used. The madonnas long neck, the delicacy of her hands and swaying elongation of her frames are all signs of mannerism. On the left stands the angelic creatures melting with emotions as soft and smooth as their limbs. on the right the artist includes a line of columns without capitals and an enigmatic figure with a scroll whose distance from the foreground is immeasureable and imbiguous.…

I would have to say that the art form that I am most familiar with would have to be motion pictures. One of my favorite film producers is Quentin Tarantino which has produce some of my favorite movies of all time like Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill. The way he films his movies is like unlike any other producers ever! He will often start the movie in backwards orders or shuffled as where formally it will start and the begging and end at the end. Also his choices of actors are usually used in the often in many different pictures. He also will give himself roles in the film but sometimes just a back character not always the star of the film.…

Which is more important color or drawing? These two have always been fought over for centuries by Poussiniste and Rubenistes. Two great pieces of art that were created in the 1600’s are Peter Paul Rubens’ The Caledonian Boar Hunt and Nicolas Poussin’s Landscape with Calm. While Rubens argues that color is the most important part of the painting Poussin argues that the drawing is more important. In the paragraphs below I will talk about the paintings each individually and then compare them.…
