Summary of Source: This source conveys that the role as an Art Director is tough because the Art Directory has so many responsibilities. The source explains the art directors are project managers and control all aspects of carrying out the artistic vision of the film. Art directors are responsible for budgeting, scheduling, finding locations, designing props, and oversee production. This source also explains that the art directors are responsible for coming up with logical solutions to constructing, designing, or any production related problems. One unique responsibility of the art director is the art director helps cast any animals needed in the film. Overall, this source introduces many responsibilities of the Art Directors in filmmaking.
Evaluation of Source This source introduced many new responsibilities of the art director that I was unaware of. It introduced that art directors are responsible for designing props needed in films. This gave me the idea to sketch out props needed for this film. This source also taught me a lot of other jobs the art director has.
