Arnold S SPeech
I’m here to tell you why Arnold Schwarzenegger would make a good president. I’m going to show you why he should be allowed to run and why he would make a great president. So how many of you can vote? There are many reasons why people think one candidate is better than the other. Whether it be race or social status. We judge presidential candidates by their past and what important things they have done. We take sides based on what they can promise us whether it be the end of the war or compromise. For those who do not know who Arnold S is I’ll give you some background information about him. He was born on June 30, 1947 in Austria. He moved to the US in 1968 when he was just 21 years old. He started bodybuilding when he was just 15 and by the time he was 20 he had won the Mr. Universe competition. He later started acting in movies like Terminator and Predator. Then in 2003 he became the Governor of California serving nearly 8 years as governor. In the time that he was governor he helped make California a better state. He said no to a law that would increase the price on vehicle registration fees. He also helped prevent illegal immigrants from getting driver licenses. He also helped California’s economy. Rumors had been spread that he was planning on running for senate in 2010 but those rumors turned out to be false. He is not allowed to run for president because he was not born a US citizen. I feel as though they should allow a change in that requirement. They should make it harder for a non US citizen to run but they should still allow it considering we are all immigrants that migrated to this country. Despite him being an immigrant to this country, he could still make a good president. He made executive decisions in California and he helped them progress and improve. Imagine what he would do with our whole country. Maybe he could bring us the promises that Obama can’t. Maybe he would make new promises and help make the US as prosperous as it used to

I would talk to him about why he betrayed America and how he could have been a great hero. I do not think he would enjoy hearing about my life because my life is boring compared to his. Arnold likes danger and adventure, though he might enjoy some of my math classes. My favorite character is Margaret Mansfield, because she is so shy and kind, even though she is sometimes taken for granted by Arnold she can get strict like when she thought Arnold had an affair with a Caribbean woman so he had to sleep on the couch until they could rule it all…

What constitutes a great and memorable speech? Following the recent results of the October 19th federal election in Canada, two major speeches were delivered – Justin Trudeau’s victory speech and Steven Harper’s defeat speech. Just as with President Barack Obama’s 2008 victory speech ("Top 10 Presidential Addresses of All Time"), people with political preference may rank one of the two speeches more highly solely due to the identity of the speaker. Thankfully however, Lifehack provides some invaluable insights on the basic factors of a memorable public address. According to the website, imagery increases the effectiveness of a strong public speech, as does connection with the audience and persuasive, powerful statements. Taking those factors into account will help in evaluating both Trudeau’s and Harper’s speeches with a minimal amount of political bias.…

And they are going to have those privileges of citizenship regardless of race. But I would like to caution you and remind you that to exercise these privileges takes much more than just legal right. It requires a trained mind and a healthy body. It requires a decent home, and the chance to find a job, and the opportunity to escape from the clutches of poverty.” I think he somewhat understands how much it is that blacks get the chance to live equally amongst the general population because when one thinks about it black people did the hard work and had their lives stolen from them. They made this country what it is. One of the things one disagrees about in the speech is when he stated “there is no Negro problem. There is no Southern problem. There is no Northern problem. There is only an American problem. And we are met here tonight as Americans--not as Democrats or Republicans-we are met here as Americans to solve that problem.” There is a negro problem and nobody want to address it. There was always a negro problem and this negro problem still exist. Furthermore, it was a good speech and I commend him using past troubles to awaken the eyes of the public to make them see that what is going on is…

Colin Powell life is interesting because he was the first African-American Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff. The commencement speech Powell gives at Howard University show his willingness and determination to overcome challenges. Not letting his race put a limitations on what he could or couldn’t do, shows that anyone can do anything and be anyone in this nation. It also shows how times have changed from the past from African Americans being slaves to running president and doing great things. Powell speech showed me in an encouraging way that you don’t have to be big or popular to do great things.…
