While discussing abortion we usually talk about the mother and unborn child. We never think about the father’s opinion. A father of an unborn child may be against his partner of having an abortion or he may not support his partner in pregnancy and want her to get an abortion, either way his opinion on abortion does not matters. Even though male consent is not required, there have been discussion whether or not the father should even have the right to be notified about the abortion. The father rights issue has been already address on Supreme Court case of Planned Parenthood vs. Casey, where court decided that the father does not need to be notify about his former partner having abortion
