“The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” has recently come under fire over a tweet about the Supreme Court’s ruling on Texas’ abortion restrictions which was deemed as offensive.
On Monday, “Daily Show” tried to celebrate the SCOTUS ruling striking down a Texas law which restricts abortion clinic by putting up a Twitter post about the issue. However, netizens quickly slammed the show over the tweet, which many people saw as a joke that has gone too far, USA Today reports.
“Celebrate the #SCOTUS ruling! Go knock someone up in Texas!” The “Daily Show” said in the now controversial Twitter post.
Netizens did not hesitate to air out their opinion regarding the celebratory tweet. A female user said a guy was probably running the “Daily Show” Twitter account.
