Argumentative Essay: The Best Way To End Racism
I have always wanted to stop racism. I hate race in general. I find race to be nothing but a human made thing. I believe that everyone is a human and that we should not be dehumanized because of what race society categorizes us to be. Almost everyday on the news, you hear of some case where a person has been bullied or mistreated so bad that they commit suicide. Most of the time they are bullied simply because they are unique. Racism is an act where a person or group of people are discriminated against because of a particular characteristic, or set of characteristics, they have whether its from race, skin color, or religion. Some ways to eliminate racism are to stand up for your beliefs while respecting the beliefs of others, not taking part in hurtful acts, and also if you see a form of racism not …show more content…
This is ultimately the most important step to ending racism. Before change can occur people have to take initiative to start humanity on the path to a racism free world, instead of waiting for someone else. This is the most important way to end racism because when people start taking action, it will trigger the courage in others to take action as well. When everyone is against one thing, that one thing ceases to exist.
These are ways that can stop racism because all of these ideas are putting an end to what has allowed racism to become a pandemic in our society. Being a part of the movement is the most important tactic we can use to stop racism. A lot of people nowadays are sitting by waiting for others to start a movement, meanwhile allowing for racism to spread and affect more and more of the population. All that it takes to end racism is a group of leaders that believe everyone is equal and unique in their own way, and a group of people that will always remember that if we were all the same, where would we be

Everyday people experience racism in the world. Like the quote by poet and author Maya Angelou once said, “If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude. ” People need to change their way of thinking about others. People need to start understanding others feelings.…

There are countless times in our current events that racism shows through, but people are not successful in stopping it. When a black student was killed by a white cop within the last few years, other black students created a campaign called “Hands up don’t shoot”. Though their intentions were good, like Atticus the students were unable to drastically change anything. Justice can be defended in many ways, but transforming any society’s view is extremely…

“I have a dream…” once said a very heroic man who went by the name Martin Luther King Jr. The world suffers from racial injustice even after huge sacrifices by people who stood up for what’s right. A movement called “Black Lives Matter” nowadays starts conversation and creates more knowledge on the sensitive topic. Many laws should be tweaked so it’s no longer uncorrupt, benefiting and protecting us people.…

Some solutions have been peace walks and rallies, where they are civil and deal with a movement. And again, none that actually got rid of racism. You cannot change the way people feel toward other races, it’s only up to that person themselves to look deep down and decide whether or not a color of one’s skin gives them a profile. What if we had a solution where we didn’t have to make people change their mind or how they felt toward other races, but yet we make it to where everyone is the same color.…

Now no one really knows why or how racism all started but are many different beliefs as to why it did, for example some people have what is called “Xenophobia” which is the fear of people who are in anyway different. Another belief is the need to feel “OK” or to feel worthwhile this leads to people trying to feel superior over others by putting them down or being racist towards them. One more reason as to why racism all started is because people learned to conceal fear with racism. Many people react with fear towards those who look or come across different to them. But instead of showing fear or that they are afraid they use racial comments or racial slurs. Anyways I could go on and on about the reasons it all started but why not starting coming up with solutions on how we can get it all to come to an end so we can all live peacefully and equally and without being judged for the color of our skin or where we come from or what we eat, etc.…

Racism is a global problem that has existed throughout the history of mankind. Despite the different kinds of measures taken against racism including African-American Civil Rights movement, Anti-Apartheid Movement, Hate Crime Laws, or bans on any racism manifestations, it continues to be a constant concern. For some people, it is a vague concept, because it reveals itself in different forms. For others, it is simply based on unreasonable believes and hate. So racism, after all, became a label that is used for humiliation, based on hatred of the individual or even entire ethnic groups. I will try to address the problem of racism from several points of view taking into account the areas in which racism exists and manifest itself; to prove that…

Racism is a hot topic all over the world, but what really is racism? Miriam-Webster defines racism as “poor treatment of or violence against people because of their race; the belief that some races of people are better than others.” In more colloquial language, racism is discriminating anyone because of their race and or ethnic background. Racism is all around us, and racism will be prevalent until the end of time.…

Even though people think racism is one attitude in and of itself, it can manifest in many different ways. A racist attitude can lead to brutality, prejudices, and profiling. Standing up for rights, and not letting hate crimes or injustice take over is how everyone can help improve the future. Groups such as the NAACP, CCR and more focus on setting up effective ways to advocate for minority rights. Joining together with co-workers, friends, schools, civic groups, and neighbors creates unity and a stronger force and shows what is taking place isn’t acceptable. In my opinion, I feel as racism is a bigger issue than people think. It is one person hating another because of a color. When I look at a person, I see a living, breathing human being. I do not see black or white. Although I do not believe racism can fully be abolished from people’s minds, I believe there is a way to stop the hate crimes that come from racist people and diminish the amount of racism people outwardly show. In order to reduce racism in our society, I believe we should start teaching about God in schools. Although religion should not be forced upon students, I feel as if it will make a large difference in how people act. Racism is about power to a certain extent. Some white people feel as if they are a better person or more important than a black person, and vice versa. The media can help in this aspect of diminishing racism. Rather than showing every act of hate because of race, they can show the good in races. Many black and white people get along, and many are also married to each other. Interracial relationships are more common in my generation than they have ever been. I believe news channels should show more of the positive side of black and white people working together, rather than against each…

John F. Kennedy once said, “There is always inequality in life. Some men are killed in a war and some men are wounded and some men never leave the country. Life is unfair.” The notion of having equality across the country will not be achievable, because there is not a group brave enough to take it into motion. Some may think future generations have the ability to make equality flourish across the nation, but others say that everyone is raised to learn certain beliefs of multiple races that are not true. John Legend and the New York Daily Newspaper have provided quotes and facts that…

In the months after Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th president of the United States, 66 percent of Americans told the researchers behind the New York Times /CBS News poll that race relations in the United States were generally good (Maraniss). This was the impact that America was looking for, change. Change in a sense that the hope for all minorities no matter what race, color, or ethnicity would be treated as equals. This election did spark that sense of hope, but the race relations in the U.S. did not continue to strive like they did for a short period after Obamas first election.…

Addressing institutional racism, bettering community relations with police and tackling other injustices have become major issues in this year’s presidential campaign, thanks to the Black Lives Matter movement. As a young black man this affects my life and people around me and the presidential debate showed where the presidential candidates are in that position. Throughout world history, governments have violated and ignored the human and civil rights of their citizens. In some instances, they demonstrated this disregard through customs, etiquette, and racial caste systems that denied human dignity and respect. In most cases, in addition to these customs, segregation rules and laws were established.…

Is racism in societies inevitable? Prejudice, discrimination, bigotry and sexism all are synonyms of "racism." Longman Advanced American Dictionary (2009) defines racism as "Unfair treatment of people, or violence against them, because they belong to a different race from your own, or the belief that different races of people have different characters and abilities, and that the qualities of your own race are the best" (p.1298.) People can work together to be cured from racism by scientifically reviewing the historical facts, sharing with other nations important human values and endowing the spiritual attitudes with modern interpretations. People can suggest new regulations and implement feelings of brotherhood. Through these actions, people could eliminate the social chronic disease known as racism.…
