Argumentative Essay On Date Rape
Date rape is rape committed by someone with whom the victim has gone on a date with. David R. Carlin Jr. states the definition of date rape and the important distinction between voluntary and involuntary actions and explains the issue with why date rape is so complex. This new definition of date rape explores the complexity behind what consent is and has more of a view point from the victim rather than perpetrator. An interesting rebuttal that Carlin brings up is the question: does purely one hundred percent consent even exist especially in sexual terms? Although this rebuttal brings up another good point, the message that needs to get across to college students is that consent must be one hundred percent their own. One should not participate
