1
Studying the causes of aggression in reaction to others in their environment.
Clinical Psychologist
Social & Personality
Clinical Psychology specializes in issues with personal adjustment. Social & Personality specializes in personalities and human behavior (Gerrig & Zimbardo, 2008, …show more content…
Biological Psychology
Developmental Psychology
Biological Psychology studies behavior, feelings and mental processes. Developmental Psychology studies the changes that occur in the cognitive processes (Gerrig & Zimbardo, 2008, pg. 17).
I chose these because they both focus on the mental processes and would be best for this study about newborns developmental time periods (Gerrig & Zimbardo, 2008, pg. 17).
I think the experimental method would be best because it helps to establish the cause-and-effect between two variables. Also, it is the preferred method when studying behavior (AU, 2013).
3
Sharing some research about the best strategies to manage work place stress.
Clinical Psychologist
Health Psychologist
Clinical Psychology specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders and other issues of personal adjustment. Health Psychology deals with strategies of helping people cope with stress (Gerrig & Zimbardo, 2008, pg. 17).
I chose these specializations because they both focus on ways to deal with daily issues like stress in a workplace (Gerrig & Zimbardo, 2008, pg. …show more content…

I chose this because, being a study of biochemical bases, it would help to determine which chemical is activated and when (Gerrig & Zimbardo, 2008, pg. 17).
The best research method for this is the clinical method because the tests and case studies will help to show which chemicals are activated from different stimuli (AU, 2013)..
5
Reviewing the thought process of someone who has difficulties remembering things long-term.
Cognitive Psychology
Cognitive Psychology is the specialization that focuses on the study of mental processes such as memory, perception, reasoning, problem solving, decision making, and language use (Gerrig & Zimbardo, 2008, pg. 17).
I chose this because this specialization focuses on memory and this subject is regarding long-term memory (Gerrig & Zimbardo, 2008, pg. 17).
I think the best research method to use for this would be the clinical method of interview. I would use this because, without prior studies of the subjects, I would need to rely on the participants answers to base my conclusion (AU, 2013).

Methods to gain possible diagnoses in efforts to understand emotional problems.
