Are Women Ready For Combat
In many situations, women are not allowed to do the things that men are doing. One of those situations is women not being able to participate in war combat. This is a big topic in the world as women want equality and they want to be able to participate in these crucial events. The people who research women's abilities for combat do not believe that the standards should be lowered for women. This is because people could be affected as a whole. The question many people portray is, are women physically and mentally ready for this type of situation?
One of the main reasons on why people may or may not think women are able to fight in combat is because of physical and mental attributes. People believe that there is no need to set the standards lower for women. This is because if they are not able to do the stuff that the men do and at their pace, they are not ready for combat. People think that they will eventually get tired of being there so they will stop trying. This is different from Women that are made to go to the training camps, from Women who want to go to the training camps. You can tell that the girls that want to be there are trying their hardest so that they can be accepted. Women say that it is hard but they try their hardest to keep up with the men. If they are not able to, then they will not be accepted.
In conclusion, women in combat is a widely spread topic that many people talk about. Many people have many opinions on the topic as well. For example, some people believe that women are a step backwards in our military units. Others believe that women are fully capable of taking on this task, they just need a chance to prove it.     Speaking from a woman who is in the military I’m going to elaborate on why I think that women shouldn’t serve in combat positions. It’s scientifically proven that women doesn’t physically perform at the same level as men. For an example, the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) is broken down into two categories’, women and men and in which they have different age groups in which women are held to a lower standards than men. The APFT have different requirements when you turn a certain age meaning your body can’t handle as much as it did when you were younger. Same thing with women and men you can’t hold them to the same standard when their body is constructed differently. Physically a woman skeletal system is less dense and prone to have more breakages than a man. Psychological concerns are that women would be place on the front line and then get pregnant to escape from combat.
