Archetypes In The Chronicles Of Narnia
An archetype is a pattern of theme, symbol, character, or idea in literature that the author expects the reader to recognize. This recurrence of ideas strengthens the impact it has on the reader. Every fairy tale that I know relates back to this idea. Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, etc. All of them have the pattern of good overcoming evil, love conquering all, and deciding right from wrong. The book “The Chronicles of Narnia” has many of the same patterns that the fairy tails also have. For example in the end good overcomes evil when Aslan and his army defeat the White Witch. Love conquers all when the siblings become kings, queens, princes, and princesses of Narnia and they are loved immensely by the
