How to make the business legal?
Business Registration and permitting
By: Mr. Hector C. Subaldo BIR - district 3
And Mr. Gilbert A. Gayosa

Our afternoon seminar was conducted by Mr. Hector C. Subaldo and Mr. Gilbert A. Gayosa. They were both employee of BIR here in Koronadal City South Cotabato. The seminar was all about bookkeeping regulations so that we can put up our legal business. We should register our business to the BIR. And legalise it. If we are planning to put up business someday we must register it in BIR so that they will give you a permit to operate. BIR primary role is to collect taxes and remit it to the government. And the government will use the money collected from the taxes to build and make our country beautiful. They collect taxes and give it back to the people. The taxes are the life and blood of the country.
They also told us that life is like a business we need to take a risk. We need to take a risk to build and create new products to the economy. Because if we are not risk takers how can we know and determine our capacity. And enable for our business to be successful you should first register it. And we need to pay our taxes for our country. They also said that if we have our own business someday we must be aware and pay our taxes regularly. We must follow the BIR step in putting up business. The taxpayer has also several rights and remedies. And you must have also a receipt. Cash invoice for goods and official receipt for services.
Mr. Gilbert Gayosa tells us the difference between BIR and City government. After listening to the speakers it came to my mind that we should be careful to avoid penalty. And we should be prepared someday if we are planning to engaged into business. A tax makes our country beautiful. This seminar
