Applebee's Pros And Cons
OUR RESTAURANT EXPERIENCES
Applebee’s was very responsive and provided prompt service. After arriving at Applebee’s, we were greeted in 37 seconds and then seated 36 seconds later. Our waiter arrived at our table in 23 seconds and we had our order of French fries served to us in 8 minutes and 45 seconds.
The atmosphere at Applebee's was very pleasant and our waiter was friendly and accommodating. We counted seven courtesies (please, thank you, your welcome, may I help you, etc.) that he said to us. Unfortunately, we did overhear another waiter making unprofessional complains about their customer. Our waiter also told us that he had been in the service industry for nine years and had been working at Applebee’s for two years. He had the most

Many of the tables around us had trash and food sitting on them for our entire dining experience. The kitchen at Chili’s was also the dirtiest out of the three restaurants. The restrooms did not have a cleaning chart, but they did have a sign reminding employees to wash their hands. One convenience that we noted was a child’s changing table in the men’s restroom. There were also electronic machines at the table that could be used to pay your bill or to play games. This was very convenient form of customer service allowing customers to leave when ready. Chili’s also offered child seats and coloring books for children. They also had a sign in the restaurant indicating their status as a member of the Woodlands Chamber of Commerce. However, like Applebee's, there was no health certificate posted and our waiter was not aware of any. TGI Friday’s was our final …show more content…
We scored the fries with a 2 out of 3 for general appearance. These were the hottest fries that we received and, as expected, were still very warm after ten minutes. None of the fries were broken and they had flavored seasoning and skins on them. They had an average length of 3” and were less than ½” in diameter. The fires were thinner than Chili’s fries and saltier than Applebee’s fries. The team agreed that they were too seasoned. The fries left the largest overall grease stain when pressed into a napkin. There were two order sizes for the French fries. The small was $1.99 and the large was $2.79, which was 20 cents cheaper than the large order at Applebee’s. TGI Friday’s also had the highest consistency between orders (36 and 38). We received our to-go order in 6 minutes and 40 seconds. Unfortunately, these fries tasted the worst on the following day. This was overshadowed by the facility

The environment and atmosphere of this restaurant is a very sketchy and unprofessional feeling. The servers make customers feel that they are a bother to them. The music that plays all day long is country, blasting over the restaurant, which made it hard to hear anyone talk. The inside is not kept up either. Parts of the ceiling were falling onto tables and the floor and the server simply stated that it was because of the rain but never did anything about it. The bathrooms…

Second, we had a very talkative and rude waitress. When we first sat down we waited almost 30 minutes just to get our drinks and appetizer put in. On top of getting our drinks late, we had to keep asking for refills. I don’t expect a waitress to keep all drinks completely filled, but when every drink at a table is completely dry, I would think they would need a refill. Paying almost $2.00 for a drink is ridiculous enough, so I try to get what my money is worth. Also on top of all of that, our waitress kept talking to the other table near us while standing at our table. I would have rather not had a waitress and have done it all myself.…

Texas Roadhouse was the dinner place of choice for my family and me the other night; it wouldn’t be the first time we decided to dine at this local restaurant just a few short miles from our current residence. My family and I decided to dine in at Texas Roadhouse not only because of its excellent convenience; located in the center of an outdoor shopping mall that consisted of many shops such as, Wal-Mart, Target and Kohl’s to name a few in which two of those stores required my consideration for a product I was in search of that night but also Texas Roadhouse reminds you of the good ole western roots in which we take part of on a daily basis here in Gilbert, Arizona. I will be evaluating the pros and cons of Texas Roadhouse, three criteria will be used: the total cost must not exceed $25 per person; the menu as well as the establishment must be kid friendly, and reasonable wait times.…

Market structure influences how an organization behaves according to pricing, supply, barriers to entry, efficiency and competition. More specifically, Applebee’s, a nation-wide casual dining restaurant chain, is an organization whose structure is considered to be monopolistic competition. Monopolistic competition is a structure that has many buyers and sellers who sell products that are similar but not identical. Hence, instead of being a price taker, Applebee’s has a downward sloping demand curve. Applebee’s is almost like a tiny monopoly because of the differentiation in the products that they sell. Moreover, Applebee’s has some control over their prices but competition tends to dictate the price range for food and beverages. In addition, it’s relatively easy to enter and exit this market without restrictions. Chili’s, T.G.I. Friday’s, Red Lobster, Outback Steakhouse, Olive Garden and Ruby Tuesday’s are Applebee’s main competitors. In grasping market share and maximizing profits, advertising plays significant role in monopolistic competition.…

The American hamburger is an American classic and the most recognizable menu item in the fast food industry. Even though there are many different takes on the types of meats, toppings, and dressings used, the hamburger has been a restaurant regular and historical favorite of both children and adults. The hamburger can even bridge cultural and religious divides. It can unite the masses, and with that being said many people agree that all burgers are not created equal. While McDonald’s is synonymous with happy childhoods and those long bumpy road trips, In-N-Out caters to the majority of young adults past the age of fourteen desires a more sophisticated burger.…

As LUC students, we are very fortunate to have food readily available to us in the dining halls. The food options off campus around LUC are minimal, so it is ideal to have halls on campus that have different foods to choose from. These halls have many different problems surrounding the specific dining experience though, which affects current and prospective students, faculty, and staff. A recent article from the Phoenix reports that the hygiene of the dining hall employees has room for improvement. A student claimed, “he saw dining hall workers go out for a cigarette and come straight back to serving food” (Beckford 1). There have been reports of bugs in the salad bar and mold in the icemakers. Also, the dining halls have received lower levels on food inspections due to temperature problems that could potentially affect anyone who eats there. Although there were reports of roaches at the University of Chicago in 2012, which is worse than any reports at LUC, it is still very important that LUC works to improve the hygiene at their dining halls (Beckford 2).…

We weren’t even greeted properly, we had ask to sit in the bar area, and the hostess told us to go ahead and didn’t even take us there just pointed to where it was. I felt she was snotty and was put out by having to deal with customers. Her attitude was horrible. (pg38) My boyfriend and I are sports fans, that’s why we decided to sit in the bar area so we could watch ESPN. There weren’t that many tables in the bar about 6 total, two had dirty dishes on them and two needed washed, one was occupied so we took the only available and clean table. I didn’t understand it really, they weren’t real busy, and everyone seemed to be doing nothing for towards what customers want.(pg38) The one other table that was occupied was people who were also disturbed by the lack of professionalism that was being displayed. One guy even commented on it, I in return said “If I was the boss a lot of people would be losing their jobs tonight”. Their service delivery systems seemed to be failing tonight. (pg38)…
