APA Argument Research Paper Instructions
APA ARGUMENTATIVE RESEARCH PAPER INSTRUCTIONS
An Argumentative Research Essay is an exploration of a topic in which a point of view is declared in the thesis statement, and the research of topics supports that viewpoint. The goal is to inform the reader through critical interpretation of the relevant materials supporting the topic. It is important to keep in mind to write your paper in a third person voice (narrating a story), which keeps the reader focused on the information you are providing and not relay personal opinion.
ASSIGNMENT DIRECTIONS
You will need to write a 3 page paper, not including the APA Title Page and APA Reference Page (with these pages the paper should be 5 pages long). The paper should be double spaced, and written in 12 point Times
New Roman font.
Your paper should be written on one of the following approved topics:









Cheating: Helps or hinders Learning?
Stem Cell Research: Does it harm or help mankind?
Smoking in Public: Banned or allowed?
Online Dating: Better or worse than traditional dating methods?
Facebook: Outdated or Effective?
Cell Phone Use in Public: Banned or allowed?
Graffiti: Art or Vandalism?
OR - choose a topic of your own to argue. You MUST email your instructor and wait for their approval prior to using your topic.

APA ARGUMENTATIVE RESEARCH PAPER CRITERIA
