Cornel west on the Keith Lamont Scott again an officer gets away with killing another black man Scott’s killing by the police on September made massive protest in Charlette and nationwide Scott’s family says he was reading book while in the process of wait for his son to come out of school when officers the dashboard camera video interaction which was released after the protests the video shows Scott exiting his car and taking steps backwards with his arms on his sides the police fire four shots at Scott he falls to the ground dead in October an independent autopsy ruled the shooting was homicide.

Texas judge blocked this horrifying anti- abortion bill but the state is not allowing it the new rules which were slated to go into effect on Monday

    On the 24th of November 2015, unarmed 24 year old Jamar Clark was fatally shot in the head by a police officer after an alleged altercation between Clark and two police officers in the North Side of Minneapolis, a predominately black neighborhood. Soon after, protests spearheaded by the Black Lives Matter movement started at the 4th precinct of Minneapolis-- the police station just blocks away from where Jamar Clark was shot. Days of occupation of the precinct and peaceful protest led to increased presence of police in riot gear , openly brandishing tear gas guns. Despite the peaceful nature of the protest, police officers in tactical gear sprayed chemical irritants into the eyes of protesters, used intimidation as a form of crowd control, and even punched a young woman in the face.     On July 17 2014, in N.Y.C Eric Garner was killed with a chokehold by the police officer . Everyone at the scene was acquitted of the crime or only put on probation at the worst, which “sparked outrage” with many people .
