Ano Ang Kahalagahan Ng Pabula Sa Lipunan??
The form of media that I chose in my last media log is a music video and the music video is Tatsulok by Bamboo. For me, Bamboo is a great singer and his voice clarifies the music genre of the song which is part of the techniques that was used to attract my attention. And lastly, the song has an enticing lyric which have a connection in our society.
As I was listening to the song, I felt entertained and at the same time unhappy. I felt unhappy because as I listen and understand the lyrics, I can relate it with the real life today. Poverty is one of the problems in our country and because of poverty, it cause inequality in our society. For me, the “tatsulok” that was mentioned in the song represents inequality because a “tatsulok” or a triangle has a three corners and one of the corner of the triangle is top of the others. The top corner of the triangle represents the people who are rich and have power while the base of the triangle represents people who are poor.
“Habang may tatsulok at sila ang nasa tuktok di matatapos itong gulo”. This is a line or part of the lyrics, which I was attracted, that manifest a message. This line stated that people who are on top of the triangle or people who are rich that are abusing their powers, are ones who can cause violence because power is root of all evils and these people thought that they are higher than people who are poor. People who thought that they higher than others can be prone to violence. Being boastful was a negative side of me when I was in high school and I thought that every time I got high grades, I was smarter than the others. This attitude of mine causes violence in my high school life because it made me to fight others. However, when the time I changed, I never experienced violence again. Because of poverty, inequality exists and the effect is violence; that is why it affects a life of certain person in a negative
