Annotating Reflection Essay
After reading chapter one, what stood out the most important to me in the reading process was the effectiveness of annotating. Annotating a piece of writing gives a person a better understanding of the text. It teaches a person to think and analyze any reading material. When a person starts to analyze a given text, he or she learns to deeply think and connect the text with everyday life. As I learn the significance of annotating, I look back on how I read books, articles, and literature. Personally, I am not a fan of reading. In the past, I usually read the assigned reading just to get the gist of it, and moved on to finish writing my essay. Now, after reading chapter one, I have learned that annotating gives me a better analysis of the text.
