Despite all this Anne Frank still managed to believe that “people are really good at heart.” This is not necessarily true. In The Diary of Anne Frank, Mr Van Daan is a very selfish man which means that he disproves Anne’s quote. The men in Night by Eli Wiesel also couldn’t care less about the Jews in the concentration camps.
