Animal Cruelty
Should animals be used for research? Isn’t it animal cruelty?

To test cosmetics, cleaners and other products, hundreds of thousands of animals are poisoned, blinded and killed every year. In circuses, animals are being tortured cruelly. This has been an argumentative issue for a long time. Some argue testing on some animals now will prevent lots of human suffering and save lives in the future. Others say it is unethical and cruel. Still, everyone agrees that millions of animals are subjected to unbearable pain in labs. Also most of people agree with animals tortured cruelly in circuses, they take it as an entertainment for themselves. And that thousands of them die. Before 1986, only four states had felony animal cruelty laws.
Estimates say that between 14 and 70 million animals are used in experiments each year. It is impossible to know exactly how many animals are tested because US law does not require scientists report how many birds, reptiles or rodents they use. About 50% of animals used in cosmetics testing die within three weeks of the experiment. Snakes and lizards are skinned alive because of the belief that live flaying makes leather suppler. Kid goats are boiled alive to make gloves.
Animal testing is often ineffective in predicting how products will work on people. Some estimates say up to 92% of tests passed on animals failed when tried on humans. Moreover, animals should not be treated cruel. People who see others treating animals cruelly, must report to their local shelter or animal control agency. If they do not report crimes, the animals will continue to be harmed.
There are over 7 million homeless animals in the US. 7 million unwanted cats and dogs currently live in shelters. Even worse, half of them will be put to sleep. Animals can suffer brain damage or death from heatstroke in just 15 minutes. Beating the heat is extra tough for dogs. You can help animals having a shelter to live, by convincing their family and friends to adopt an animal

Good morning, teachers and fellow students. Imagine if you were beaten for no reason, forces to do something you don’t want to, and left to die. This is how many animals are treated every day. Nobody should do this to other animals, and it must be stopped. People should be kind to animals because they’re sensitive, just like humans. If an animal is abused, it will try to defend itself which can result injuries for both humans and animal. To test cosmetics, household cleaners and other consumer products hundreds of thousands of animals are poisoned, blinded and killed every year by cruel corporations. In my opinion we should not even be doing this at all, it is very wrong.Thousands of animals are killed everyday due to this torture. Animals have feelings too. Toothpaste is even tested on animals. It’s ridiculous. According to the human society, registration of a single pesticide requires more than 50 experiments and the use of 12,000 animals. The animals are tested for 2 years.…

We all have an idea of what animal cruelty is but how much are you truly aware of this harmful abuse? Everyday animals are being beaten, neglected, and forced to struggle for survival. They are sometimes left in unsanitary conditions with no food or water, they have little hope as they live their days without the compassion they deserve. Some are found and rescued given the chance to experience how great life and humans can be; others aren't so lucky. Animal abuse affects us in many ways: it’s bad for our animals; it affects not only the animal but those who witness it. These animal abusers are criminals. To grow as a nation we must fight for these abused animals’ rights. It is up to us to speak for the animals that lack a voice, who will, if we won’t?…

Each year in the United States, an estimated seventy million animals are hurt and killed in the name of science by private institutions, household products and cosmetics companies, government agencies, educational institutions, and scientific centers. Animal testing is wrong and downright mean. Innocent animals should not be treated badly and caused pain for the sake of a human 's safety. Many people think animal testing is good while others think it is wrong. I think it is completely and absolutely wrong. Some people argue that humans are not necessarily superior to animals, so why should animals be experimented on and made to suffer to protect human beings? Do you know what animal testing is, what condition the animals live in, and what some alternatives to testing animals are?…

When shopping at a store, no one ever thinks when he or she buys makeup, cleaning products, deodorant or lotion, that it has potentially hurt an innocent animal. In fact, millions of animals die every year due to a chemical drug. Those animals harmed never got a chance to live a normal, animal life; instead, they were put into cages and locked up for years at a time. While animal testing can be used to ensure the safety of certain drugs for humans, potentially killing or harming the animal being tested deems this practice wrong because it is immoral to kill or injure an innocent animal.…

According to the article, Animal Experimentation states, “150 brain-damaged baboons at the University of Pennsylvania's Head Injury Clinic in 1983. The Animal Liberation Front, a group that uses threats, sabotage, and other illegal means to draw attention to animal cruelty, claimed responsibility for a raid at the clinic and worked with PETA to publicize the situation” (Driscoll S Finley Paragraph 18). This evidence supports my claim because it shows that all kinds of animals can get hurt by even the littlest thing that is tested on them. This is important because it shows by just testing one product is show that it caused them to get hurt/injured. The main reason why this is so bad for the animals is that it shows why and how when animals are tested on more that kills than and eventually, they will become extinct. The connection between why it hurts animals and why they should not feel this way shows that people are hurting the animals by testing on them so they have no rights whatsoever. Even though they are hurting animals for experimentation there are many side effects of the main disease or issue the experiment has caused. For example, in the article Animal Experimentation they states, “In research and testing, animals are subjected to experiments that can include everything from testing new products to infecting with diseases, poisonous for toxicity tests, burning skin,…

Animal testing is another form of cruelty to many people. They lock these animals up and experiment on them not knowing what these tests can do to these animals. What is really upsetting is we all know that animals can not tell us that they do not want to be tested on and do not want to go through this. So, instead of finding another way to test these things they use animals and it is killing some of them. When an experiment does not work and they have tested too much on this animal and it is no longer useful or it is just…
