I pushed for three hours. It was long and hard which is not uncommon for most first babies. At the very end, I told the doctor, "I quit! Please, just take the baby." Calmly, he responded, "You cannot quit. You have gone too far now - push!"
Within minutes, Micah James was born. I had delivered him naturally, so once again God had faithfully answered my prayers. Micah weighed eight pounds and fifteen ounces. He was four weeks early, but perfectly healthy! I was excited and exhausted. Kevin went home to sleep, and I rested between visitors. Kevin came back late in the afternoon. He had a grin on his face. I inquired about his expression. Kevin replied: “I have a job!”
The new business where he had applied in December called and gave him a position over the phone. He would start work on Monday. I was amazed. I knew it was God. The timing was perfect!
