Andrew Wyeth Christina's World Analysis
I do agree with your definition of Art. Art visually helps the artist communicates to the viewers with the purpose of having a special message delivered as well as invoking the viewer's reactions. Considering the artwork, Christina's World by Andrew Wyeth, it can be observed that the artist painted his work with careful attention to texture and realistic appearance. The artist also applied a great deal of innovation to create such an emotional driven art. The composition of Wyeth's artwork is more unique to the overall purpose of connecting his audience sense of emotion to the painting. Observing the painting and read the intent of the artist, I was emotional moved because I have seen in real life many children in such ill

The name of this artwork is Christina's World. This artwork was made in 1948. The name of the artist is Andrew Wyeth. It was done on a wood panel with paint! (Tempera paint to be exact). There is a girl in a pink dress, brown hair, and brown shoes (I think there boots but I'm not sure). She looks like she's on a fram of some short. There is wheat she is sitting on. What is art? Although it is a drawn out cliché, the issue must be addressed. The best definition I could come up with is the combination of two definitions. Zaidel believes art attracts attention and elicits an aesthetic-related response.2 This definition is over-inclusive; if anything that attracts attention is art then is a traffic cone art? According to Haselberger, works of art are objects produced with the intention that they be aesthetically pleasing and not merely pragmatically functional.3 This definition is under inclusive, limiting art to solely be “pleasing”. Art attracts attention and elicits an aesthetic-related response but it is beyond functionality. This definition also helps to differentiate between art and tools, which are two similar but not equal things. Art is more about aesthetics while tools are more about functionality.…

The definition of art, according to the Oxford dictionary is described as “The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.” (Oxford, 2014) Now at a time before I would have to agree with the current definition of art given by Oxford, however I began to experience something quite different at the tender age of eight years old. At this age I was thrust into a world I did not want any parts of, I wanted to stay in my little bubble I called my world and deal with my feelings the way I wanted to. However my mother and therapist thought of another way I could express my feelings and emotions, they thought I should try creative writing and dance.…

The film says it is the first to shoot the training at a Durga Vahini camp and for that alone it is a valuable resource to see first hand how young girls are being brain washed into hating Muslims and thinking that wielding a few sticks and learning some artful body moves will give them an identity and make them defend themselves and their country. That was the real value for the film for me was to see young women from rural areas look to the Durga Vahini as an inspiration and towards the end of the film, a group leader says she would want to repeat this training as she quite liked the ideas sown in her head and by going for more camps, they would harden over time.…

Art is everywhere, the buildings, the landscapes, cars, clothes and many more. All of that is art in some way. We may not realize it at first but, yes, all these are some form of art.…
