Strategy Analysis The PKT are facing a problem which every logistics company will be facing, which is the shipping delay. The Shipping delay of PKT is due to the unavoidable circumstances, many circumstances they PKT facing that are uncertainty, due to the PKT is consider sea freight Logistics Company, For example, the weather, pirates, technical of the ship and so on. The strategy of PKT Logistics is planning to work on a workshop and the work shop is including port authority, shipping liners and some client. This issue must be discussing because they want to submit the final report to the Economics Transformation Programmed (ETP). ETP is an initiative by the Malaysian government to turn Malaysia into a high income economy by the year 2020 …show more content…
The solution of prevent this happen is PKT company do a checking of the client background and financial status, see whether the company is a proper company or not. PKT also check the cargo clearly to make sure the cargo is no contain any dangerous and hazard good and it legal to transport and export, because some client will put the dangerous good inside the containers without proper declaration to the custom. Furthermore, PKT also put the GPS tracking system for all trucks to ensure the secure of good during delivery of goods from warehouse from port and ensure all freight are assign to the right location at the right …show more content…
In order to solve this problem, PKT increase the cost of packaging to make sure the cargo is under a full protected from damage and disposal. Besides that, PKT also send their employee to training to teach them how to handling the cargo carefully during loading and unloading process and educated then with the technique of arranging the cargo, for example, the cargo cannot put too high because it want to prevent the collapse of stacked cargo and damage to them. For the automotive part, we can use the strategy like Trans-Rak technology to solve the difficult handling problem, because the Trans-Rak technology which is simple, retractable transport system that can be fitted inside shipping containers enabling automobile to be shipped. Trans-Rak is very safe and secure transportation of automobile in containers and it provides security including ship cars direct from factory to port in perfect condition, free from knocks and
