Minimalism is defined as a style or technique that is characterized by extreme spareness and simplicity. In “Everything Stuck to Him”, by Raymond Carver, the frame story and minimalistic writing helps to create a personal feeling which captivates the reader. Carver is a minimalist writer, which means his sentences are devoid of elaborate details, explanations, or descriptive passages. His style enhances his story because although there is a lack of detail, Carver finds ways to create a more personal mood for the story.
