All I really want to do whenever I finish is just turn it in, I just want to get the assignment over with. I never get the same exact assignment and I will never have the same writing process for every essay. This process seems too effective enough to get the assignment dine but I know there is always room for

The five steps of the writing process are equally vital to the succession of any writing assignment, whether it is for work or school. The five stages include PREWRITING, PLANNING, DRAFTING, REVISING, and PROOFREADING. As our text (Arlov, 2014), explains, “Writing is not a single act, but a process composed of several steps,” (p. 3). Moreover, constructing a strong paper that is well-written (no matter how tedious it seems), requires efficaciously executing all five phases. It is crucial not to take shortcuts by eluding any step of the writing process.…

Whether they know it or not, each individual has a process of writing that they follow every time they write. Whether it is planning, outlining or just “going with the flow” every single person has one. In order to figure out what mine was, I did a study on me writing a paper on the effects of technology on society. I am not in biology so I didn’t use a CPR assignment I just used an SAT practice prompt. I recorded myself writing on using the camera on my iMac and what I found was actually pretty interesting. When I write I use no initial outline or planning before I actually put pen to paper. It took me around three hours to finish the paper but only about an hour and a half of the time was me writing. The rest of the time I was laying my head on the desk, messing with my phone, or reading everything I had written so far. I did that a lot, I read over and over what I wrote to make sure it sounded okay and then I ended up editing a pretty .because most of it was written, read, and then edited, so I had to find a way to code it with all three methods. I feel like I resembled the writing style of Tony, whom Perl (1970) studied in her experiment. He, along with me, couldn’t write long without stopping and rereading and then having to talk about what he…

My writing process is not so much of a “thinking outside the box” sort of thing. It’s really simple, but I struggle with it. I begin with writing everything on a piece of paper that comes from the back of my mind when thinking of the specified topic. From that, I choose three examples that I could use for my essay. Then I get stuck. I don’t know how to write the introduction. I blank out so much that even space has more things than me. In order for me…

After taking several opportunities to study the different images provided in the assignment, I came to the realization that I didn’t fully understand what my writing process consisted of. When I look at the actual “writing” that I have done over the course of the last several years, it mainly contains Facebook status updates, letters to teachers, emails, blog posts, and product reviews for several online marketing companies. I haven’t written essays, journal entries or any kind of “story” in a very long time.…
