It seems to be fading away in the justice system of the United States. This is making people lose their belief in achieving their American dream.This happens when there is racial discrimination involved. The liberal America website talks how 1out of 4 young black male more likely to be incarcerated than going to college and getting married. But sometimes the young black male might started a family, but they aren’t married. So the responsibility is left to the single mother to take care of the child, so the single mother ends up having to work a low wage job. There isn’t really an American Dream. Another source that talks about this is the book “Fences”. The main character, Troy was black and his race held him from getting a higher position at his job.
