Twelve steps to make delegation work.
1. Approach it carefully and deliberately.
2. Be specific: What is the task and why does it need to be done? When is the due date?
3. Delegate with enough information and training. Set expectations and be clear about intended outcomes.
4. Don’t micromanage.
5. Know that you will not be able to control every aspect of the task. There are many different ways to complete a task.
6. Delegate with enough authority so that an individual feels she can be creative and responsible for the outcome.
7. Don’t delegate and forget about it.
8. Follow up on delegation. Check in regularly.
9. Follow up with encouragement and praise.
10. Be enthusiastic. Let people know you have confidence in them.
11. Allow people to make mistakes.
12. Delegate across your board. Don’t fall into the trap of only delegating to those who have similar strengths to your own.

Top 10 Tips for Delegating:
1. Stay away from the “I can do it quicker and better” syndrome.
2. Before delegating a project, clarify the task in your mind and write an outline.
3. If possible, enlist the delegate’s help.
4. Don’t be a perfectionist. Allow the delegate to use her own method.
5. Write out

I attended the Lincoln Park Involvement Fair and stopped at around fifteen booths. I am from out of state and want to find a community of students that share the same interests, ideals, and morals as I do. I completely surprised myself and rushed a co-educational business fraternity and a multicultural/social sorority. I never in a million years thought I’d rush not only one, but two Greek organizations. I attended the recruitment week events and met current members and other potentials. The business co-educational fraternity really appealed to me because of the professionalism and social aspect. Most of the upperclassmen that I talked to have had multiple internships. The brothers help each other and pass down internships and help build connections.…

During the process, you must talk and attempt to make connections with multiple different organizations and the girls who make up the organization. This develops a deeper connection with people that normally you may not have talked to before this week. These attempts to make deeper connection build a friendship that will last after the week is done even if you do not end up…
