The team faced a few communication challenges this week. We had a team member drop the course without notice so we were scrambling a bit to ensure all sections would be covered for the final project. A couple team members had some family issues and were not online this week to check into the team forum until late in the week. However, overcoming these communication challenges was easy for us as a team. Since the entire team filled out the team charter we had other ways to contact each other than just the team forum. Text messages allowed us to gain confirmation that one team member did drop the course and allowed the others to let the team know they had some setbacks but would be checking into the forum before the end of the week. The team has agreed to try to abide by the ground rules regarding communication and assignment deadlines as outlined in the team charter for all future work.…

For many years, litigation has been the one thing in reference to the law that traditionally resolves lawsuits and disputes. Handled outside of litigation in court, ADR is a unique resolution. ADR’s types include “arbitration, collaborative law, mediation and negotiation. Conciliation is sometimes included as a fifth category” (Alternate Dispute Resolution Law, 2011).…

While working as a team it is important that all members set goals and agree to work together. In order to come to a common goal each member must set guidelines and follow them, in order to achieve success. In an instance where team members can’t agree on a certain aspect of their project, an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) will be put in place to ensure completion of the task. The use of an ADR will help the team come to a solution and reduce the risk of failure. The dispute must be in direct relation to the rules defined on the learning team charter. Members’ personal conflicts which cause dispute within the learning team disabling productivity and efficiency will facilitate the ADR process.…
