The two British soldiers that they meet after having a firefight turn out to be friends of Chisnall, and he gets to talking with them about the war. One had an injured leg, and he couldn’t walk on it with the support of one of the members there. When the Bzadian patrol arrived Chisnall did most of the talking as he was the leader. In the book they have the conversation between Chisnall and the Bzadian patrol in English, but it is a completely different language, because one of the “prisoners" speaks, and the Bzadians have no idea of what he is saying. After a few times Chisnall speaks, he seems unconfident of what he is saying, and is constantly scanning and examining the reactions of the patrol. They aren’t showing any signs of being suspicious towards the group, but a few times they seem confused by the reactions.
