FAFSA does not reflect that my 33 year old brother, Andy is dependent on my parents and will always need an adult caregiver in his life. He was born three months premature and wasn't able to fully develop. When he was born he weighed less than two pounds. He was also going through retinal detachment. This is where the retina pull away from critical tissue in the back of the eye. This is significant because within the retina there are receptors that absorb light which send visuals to the brain. When the eyes lose the retina the ability to see is lost as well. My brother went under an experimental surgery with a slim chance to reattach his retina. The surgery was not successful, as a result Andy is blind and my parents would later find out that…

San Francisco is a city growing rapidly, and their water demands need to be met, will be constantly increasing meaning all the water of the Tuolumne River will have to be eventually diverted to their water supply, leaving all the farmers with insufficient irrigation capacities. Even though all of that sounds like it only affects us as farmers, it carries on and eventually affects people all over the state of California. The San Joaquin Valley alone produces about 250 different crops and has about 25,000 farms. We are the leading farming region in the country and probably in the world. Without proper irrigation farmers will not be able to produce as many crops, resulting in less food, also known as a food shortage or better yet, famine. Whether the city of San Francisco wants to admit it or not, they depend on us. Without our crops, there would be no…

Uneven water distribution caused by water loss along canals is very common along the eastern boundary of the park. Different levels of hydration leads to either too damp or too arid ecosystems. The Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP) has several projects designated specifically to water rehabilitation to ensure even spreading of water. The first plan, The Decompartmentalization of Water Conservation Area-3, will, according to "The Restoration of the Everglades Park" article, "fill canals and remove levees…" Doing so will restore the natural current of water, as well as increase ecological connectivity. Another important component of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan, known as the ENP Seepage Management, will, according to the article, "…reduce water loss along the eastern boundary of the park." The ENP Seepage Management plans to increase equal dissemination by ending the precaution of keeping water levels artificially low outside of the park. Low amounts of water outside of the park created an excess of water within. However, this preemptive measure was taken to protect, according to the article, "adjacent urban and agricultural lands from floods." Therefore, the CERP has instituted one final project relating to equal rehydration in the Everglades. It is known as the C-111 Spreader Canal Project. The C-111 Spreader Canal Project's purpose is to build canals that will separate equivalent amounts of water to restore natural flows to Florida Bay and other key areas near and part of the…

“The chaser” was the short story written by “John Collier”. The story was based on the fantasy world of humans in which they talk about the love potion that made someone madly fall in love. In the exposition, they talk about the character Alan, who went to his neighbourhood to meet someone. He found one of the doors in an old street where the name of that person was written “obscurely” (3). He entered the room and found no furniture inside it instead of “a plain kitchen table, a rocking chair and an ordinary chair” (5). Also, he saw a muddy wall and shelves full of bottles and jars. In the rising action, he saw a man sitting on a rocking chair and reading a newspaper. And then the old man shows Alan an extraordinary mixture named glove-cleaner. Although he told him that the liquid is colourless…
