Alchemy In The Alchemist
1.) Paulo Coelho must have chosen The Alchemist as a title for his novel to show readers the significance about alchemy, and how Santiago manipulated it throughout the story. Alchemy is about transforming ordinary objects into something valuable such as gold. Having said that, The Alchemist demonstrates how Santiago transformed his plain life events into something full of worth. He starts out as a simple shepherd, and changes into a person trying to live his Personal Legend. Because he fulfilled his destiny, Santiago was like the alchemist who was able to turn normal things into something beyond value.
