ABSTRACT

Holy Quran is the primary recourse of all Muslim in the word. This holy book has been memorized by more than thousand people from generations to generations. There no book in this word that has been memorize by Huffaz without living any single word there except the Holy Quran. Therefore this research where done to examine the spiritual effect on the memorizer or call as “Huffaz” .In order to get an accurate result case study method where being use .There were five Huffaz that has been interview to get their narrative of life as Huffaz .Result found comment experience there will fill after they become Huffaz .It’s could be explain that when someone memorise the Holy Quran its will increase level of spiritual development of a person. In additions to this, memorizing Quran also have impact to their emotions and feeling when they will experience sacrifice with their life, calm and joyful and preserve their self from any wrong doing. Lastly it could be conclude that memorizing Quran are differ with religious book because it is the easiest Holy book can be memorized by humans and can influence level memory indirectly.

Background of the study

Al Quran is holy word of Allah which has been sending down to prophet Muhammad Pbuh in Arabic words trough Jibrail in Mutawwatir and reading it has been consider as observance as a Muslim . Quran where send to the prophet in two spot location either Makkah or Madinah ,and the durations of the revelations is in 23 years times.Quran where consider as the primary recourse for Muslim ,and they will be consider as Kufar when Muslim disbelieve in its ,As been mentions by Prophet Muhammad Pbuh .

In additions towards this as a Muslim the basic things they should know is Al Quran. Recite it every day make a self become better Muslim. Not only that it is .Besides it has been encourage by prophet to memorize Quran ,as been mentions in the hadith "People who do not have the slightest memorizing the Qur'an is like a rundown house the mauh collapse ".Therefore it’s become one of the miracle of Quran when we see from generations to Generations ,the words of Allah been memorize by thousand Muslim,from a small child until the older one and event a blind Muslim also memorize Quran . This subject of discussions show that Quran is not an ordinary words like other books but rather its bring significant towards Muslim life physically and psychology.
Nevertheless ,Quran is the Holy book of Muslim, there still a many none-Muslim who come to learnt it al over the world ,event there are also among them make and attempt to memorize it like what has been report by TwoCircles.net staff reporter (2007)
“Khagual (Patna): Dilip Kumar Choudhary and Urmila Devi have a unique desire that their daughter Hemlata, who is nine years old, memorise the Quran and become a Hafiz. ( One who memorises all the 30 Parts or 114 Surahs or chapters of the holy book by heart, word by word and can correctly recite the same without looking at the text ) .When she goes to Madarsa Madinatul Uloom close to her home, she is blessed by her parents who want her to read and recite the holy Quran.”

Statement of Problem
Quran as Holy Book Muslim know with a full Miracle has been memorise by thousands of people around the world whether Muslim or None Muslim .Because according to Yusuf Al Qardawi, We find most of our brothers and sisters who are Christians who seriously trying to memorize the Quran or the many chapters of the Qur'an, and event teach their children are also to memorize .In accordant to this ,the statement shows that memorizing of Quran soon bring significant impact towards their self ,what are the impact of this action ? Insyallah being discuses in this study .
Significance of the Study
There are many Huffaz who have claims such a Miracle impact of memorizing this Holy book, however there are little study done to prove the effect of this in Human life. Therefore this study was attempt to prove the significant of memorizing the Quran in scientific way.
Purpose of Study This research where done to identify the spiritual effect on the memorizer of Quran or call as “Huffaz” .

Research Questions
The study answers two following questions:
What is the effect of Huffaz towards their spiritual development ?
What are the differences between memorizing Quran and other Book?
Sample
1)Naimah ,24 years old,From Terengganu,Nursing student IIUM ,memorize Quran in Darul Quran in one and half years
2)Saudus Al Jauhari, 22 years old from Johor , Bachelor of Social Science (Anthropology & Missionary).memorize byself.
3) Farhana 25 years old from Perak ,Unisza ,Diploma from Darul Quran .memorize in three years.
4)Asyila ,23 years old ,Muamalat Administrations UUM , SMA Al-Quran Waddin
5) Hafizah ,24 years old, from Kelantan .Islamic Educations IIUM ,memorize Quran in Darul Quran in one and half years

Definitions of terms
Huffaz A person who memorizing the Quran within the understanding meaning or without know the meanings of the verses.(Sheikh Assim Al-Hakeem)-In this research only those who understand being selected
Quran : Quran ; is the last holy book revealed by Allah SWT to Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. through a Jibri in Mutawattir way derived in Arabic and a synagogue to read it.

LITERATURE REVIEW

According Syeikh Yusuf Al Qardawi Among the miracle of Quran is it is a book that described and facilitated to memorize, The are a lot of people all over the world can memorize it .Beside that It has been describe by A.Kaheel that when someone memorizing the Quran they will benefits many good things in life ,according to him memorizing the Quran will open all the doors of good for you. Besides that when someone memorizing the Quran it will preserve themselves from any wrong doing ,sinful and unethical doing like what being mentions by A.Kaheel
“The Quran is a healing for physical and psychological diseases. If reading Al-Fatiha(The Opening) cures a patient if Allah permits, what about who memorize the whole Quran? You will get rid of devilish whispers; your body immunity will increase due tothe great change you experience while you are memorizing the Quran. This is notonly a theoretical speech but a real”

Besides that in Ar’R’d 13: 28-29 Allah already mention that when people memorize Quran they will fell Peace and contentment - "Those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah: for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction. "For those who believe and work righteousness, is (every) blessedness, and a beautiful place of (final) return”. hear whereby when calm and joyful come ,the sacrifice of life will emerge among Huffaz. BS Foad, M.D 2010.Futhermore its has been report that by memorizing the Holy Quran people can increase their level of memory ,Sitik’s(2011)and A. Subaih.Last but not list it has been mention in the Hadith of prophet when someone memorizing Quran in directly there are the one who near with Allah
““No people gather in a house of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, except that tranquility descends upon them, mercy covers them, the angels surround them, and Allah mentions them to those who are with Him (the lofty gathering of angels).” {Muslim} ”

METHODOLOGY

The research where done using a qualitative method whereby researches have to interview 5 participant . Case study about their life as Huffaz where describe based on the interview .In these studies it seem that’s all the Huffaz are among those who understand the Quran when they memorized it. Besides that two of them still in progress of memorizing and the others 3three sample already finish memorizing whole the Quran .This sample where selected randomly from Facebook and 3of them is the researchers friends. In the first stages the researcher has sending the permission to over than 20 participant asking for permissions to have an interview, however just 10 person reply and only five of them give collaborations to share their experience.

CASE STUDY

FIRST CASE STUDY

Naimah Saidah bt Othaman was 24 years old currently student in Faculty of nursing IIUM ,With her own intentions ,she was started memorizing Quran when she chose to enrol Darul Quran ,one of the Tahfiz Institutions in Selangor ,at that time she was 18 years old and finish memorizing whole Al Quran in one and half years . According to her she was struggling a lot to memorizing Quran day by day at Darul Quran because before this she didn’t have any basic of Tahfiz school. Every day she will spent time memorizing at list 5 pages, and it was not an easy task for her to finish .Besides she have other commitment in society there because for her Being a Huffaz doesn’t limit his action to joint many activities and programme but rather make herself marketable there .In additions in order to make her memorizations process becomes easy she make an effort to understand the meaning of each versus.
According to Naimah, memorizing Quran give her various benefits in life. First and foremost is the get a sense of peace, when performing a task simplified sense and feel safe life. Furthermore, feel guilty for doing evil, would not think twice, once to do an evil sense of shame in suicide. Lastly ,the most important part is when she said that feeling a sense of longing and always wanted to read the Al Quran.

SECOND CASE STUDY

Sundus Al-Jauhari 22 years old from Johor ,currently studies in Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin at Terengganu specialize in Bachelor of Social Science (Anthropology & Missionary) He was started memorizing the Quran since in the early age 12 at primary school. The process of memorizing Quran was not is not continuous but rather intermittent .After memorizing in early of secondary school stages, he stop for long term periods and start again when enter the university . According to him various type of obstacle and test come that’s make his process not continuously. In progress of memorizing Quran i also search various ustaz to teach me Tajweed to recitations .For him if we recite Al-Quran properly its will help us in the memorizing progress .Besides being a student in the same times he also teach others who want to learn Al Quran ,this circumstance make himself keep in touch with Al Quran . When being ask, what make he has interest with Quran, he answer that its come from his intentions since he was child. For Sundus Memorizing Quran have give impact toward his life-style whereby He always feel Allah is just nearby Him, reading Quran like speaking with God and always feeling agitated to read Quran every day .
Even though he only spend limits time memorizing Quran in between Magrib and Isyak periods but he can memorizer long versus every day, everything with Allah help. For him memorizing Quran everyday in Mosque make his self much in love with Allah and feel Allah love within his self ,this is an very picturesque feeling , could not been imagine by word to the extended, It make his tears fall down to the earth. Besides that when we memorizes Quran it help me preserve myself from any sinful doing .In additions such this feeling not emerge before he memorise Quran and it make my memory level also increase.

THIRDS CASE STUDY

She was ex-student of Diploma in Darul Quran Kuala Kubu Baru Selangor. Name as Farhana binti Abdul Razak was born in Perak October 4,1987 .Currently she was one of the members of Nadi kelab huffaz of Unisza . The journey of Huffaz began when her mother found that Farhana has less level of interest in studies of academic ,so after finishing her primary school ,she was send down to Pondok school to memorize the Quran. That’s was the early started. After finishing her studies and take Certificate of Malaysian education SPM .She decided to further her studies in the same feel at Darul Quran . Finishing three years courses in diploma has strenten her Quranic memorization.
There is no doubt that she feel enjoy and sacrifice memorizing Quran especially during the studies period in DQ. The actions of memorizing of Quran really make her life significant when she feel calmness and serenity in deep. Besides that being as Huffaz make him easy to memorizes other subject of studies ,that all with the intentions and actions to preserve the Quran ,not only that for her when she started to memorizing the Quran she keep aware of any Maksiat around, and carefully avoid in doing it.

FOURTH CASE STUDY

Che Noor Ashila come from Johor Bahru was born 1989 .She is finale years student of Muamalat Administration in University Utara Malaysia (UUM) Sintok Kedah. Memorizing of Quran is her ambitions since she was kids .For that reason she was enter religious school during secondary,learning Arabic for about 5 years in Sek Men Agama Shamsuddiniah and Maahad Pontion has straiten his understanding towards Al Quran .After finishing secondary school she further study in SMA AL-QURAN WADDIN,this is the time she start to focus on his memorizations of Quran. According to her with calm and peach full environment she able to memorize Quran within two times repetitions ,Besides that’s when we understand the meaning of versus its make Quran more easy being memorize.
There are a lot of benefits that Shila get when she memorize the Quran such as calmness,feeling easy go ,peaceful and help her to face a test and obstacle easily .When I ask her about ,do she feel memorizing Quran make her memory increase, she not quite sure to answer what make his memory increase no either his food consumption of raisins and honey or the memorizations of Quran itself. But she admires that now his memory is increase.
According to shila event when we just read the versus we could feel calmness, joy about memorizing it, there are more advantages towards that .She could express how the feeling of sacrifice when someone memorizing the Quran. Only the one who experience it can feel it. Somehow she feels like reading a love letter from Allah and having conversations with the Al Mighty. Even though she admire reading a book is not his favour and delight but when comes to Al Quran its difference.

FIFITH CASE STUDY
Hafizah(nick name )was corn in 1988 at Kelantan Darul Naim .Curently now student of Islamic Educations in International Islamic University Malaysia .She has interest become of Huffaz since high school, when heard about various benefits becomes of Huffaz the interest keep increase. Then when she was in form 3 she read article about Darul Quran, one of the famous Huffaz Institutions in Selangor so the spirit going in sane. When she was get to finishing form 5 in school she have the opportunity to fell in form to enter Darul Quran and Alhamdulillah with the Willing of Allah she enter the Institutions. Spending time one and half years memorizing the whole Quran in Darul Quran has give her an unique and existing experience.
According to Hafizzah , when we memorized the Quran, we will feel more responsible for studying and repeating the memorizing of Quran, Feeling desirable when able to read the Quran, never-can be replaced with whatever thing.
And no doubt, we will experience calm , patient and quieter life. Even though somehow stress, grief, etc., but we believe there is a Allah originate us , Allah love us . Whatever happened to, she just remember That life eternal self is not here, so why should grieve and restless think about the test .In additions somehow when we were tested with sorts, destined at the moment recite the Quran, about heavenly ,reward , patient, etc. So Quranic verse is self catalyst on the right time.

DISCUSSIONS
Referring on the 5 difference background of sample case study it could be explain that, most of them express a similar finding. First and foremost it could be understood all of participant of this studies find that Quran is the most easy book to be memorize exemplify the two case study of Naimah and Hafizzah who able to memorize Al Quran within the one and half Periods. Besides that referring on quotations of Shila words she said that “ I am not someone who really like reading book but when it’s come to Quran the feeling is difference”. Feeling towards memorizing Quran difference with reading a general book like what have been mentions. In additions its has been explain by all of the sample that feeling of calmness and joyful will go through their life after they memorizing the Holy Quran and this finding parallel with BS Foad, M.D.
Furthermore most of the participant also explain that when they memorizing Quran they will make them aware about sinful things ,feeling of guilty and try to avoid comes when they face a “maksiat “,like what has been mentions by Hafizzah that “As a Huffaz I will not do this wrong things because Allah also besides myself”.
Finally regarding to the increasing of level of memorise ,All of them said that the aware that their memorise are difference from before, however some of them not sure dose it reflect from memorizing of Quran or from the food consuming because according to Shila when she start memorizing Quran she start to take risen and Honey ”may be this food have effect the memorise . As a nutshell referring again on the research Questions its can be explain that when someone memorise the Holy Quran its will increase level of spiritual development of a person . Feeling of Allah is nearby themselves always come to their faith and always being positives. In additions to this memorizing Quran make someone sacrifice with their life, calm and joyful and preserve their self from any wrong doing also give impact towards the memorise functions . Lastly it’s could be conclude that memorizing Quran are differ with any memorizing of religious book In this world.

CONCLUSIONS
As a nutshell it has been describe clearly that Quran is the Miracle book who has been send down to all Humankind .Reading and memorizing it will keep our life peach full and indirectly create a healthy environment among the society .Therefore it is encourage able for all people to memorize it .As a recommendations I would like to ask future researches to identify the benefits of being Huffaz in broader aspect which are related as a cure for psychological illness and disorder. Which such this research hopefully it will encourages most people outsides to read ,understand and memorize the Holy Quran.
