I. INTRODUCTION This tern paper is all about the municipality of MAGARAO,CAMARINES SUR. Magarao is the 4th class municipality in the province of camarines sur. Magarao is bounded on the north by Bombon, on the southeast by Naga City, on the south by Canaman, and on the west by Libmanan. The town is situated 437 kilometers southeast of Manila and 6 kilometers north of Naga City. It has a total land area of 39 square kilometers. Magarao is politically subdivided into 15 barangays. The barangays are Barobaybay, Bell (Pob.), Carangcang, Carigsa,Casuray,Montserrat (Pob.),Ponong,San Francisco (Pob.),San Isidro (Pob.),San Juan (Pob.),San Miguel,San Pantaleon (Pob.),,Santa Lucia (Pob.),Santa Rosa,Santo Tomas (Pob.). Santa Lucia (Pob.) is one of the barangays which compose the center of Municipality Magarao. The dialect in this place are Bicol dialect: generally used; Tagalog, Hiligaynon (Bisaya) and Ilocano are used by a few. In terms of religion magarao have a many religion but like other places in the Phillipines Roman Catholic is the common religion in this municipality. The transportation facilities in Coastal barangays are served by bancas that ply from the wharf near Naga City to the barangays of Ponong, Barobaybay and Carigsa along the Bicol River and in the estuarine areas. Magarao has a zip code of 4403. The power and electricity of Magarao is supplied by the Camarines Sur Electric Cooperative (CASURECO). II. HISTORY BACKGROUND
