I think a major open door for Chris and Erica's eatery, is their objective client base. They have the chance to build up a strong client base, just so they don't just meet expectations but exceed them in areas of customer service and quality of food. It sounds like their menu will predominantly comprise of produce and different items from nearby farmers, and I imagine that component will speak to the neighborhood clients. Chris and Erica could also provide a catering service that delivered to the nearby businesses and organizations. This will be extremely helpful, and could give the Corner Café an edge against nearby eateries that don't give this administration. The most crucial step in starting a new restaurant is deciding on which location is right for a business to be successful. Survival in the food industry is dependent upon location choice. Even if a restaurant serves the best food in town, it may not do well if it’s not placed in a highly populated area. According to H.G. Parsa, an associate professor in Ohio State University’s hospitality management program, “about one in four restaurants close or change ownership within their first year of business. A bad location is one of the biggest reasons for restaurant failure.” A restaurant’s location is just as important as the food and customer service. When choosing a location it is important to look at all aspects that will enable a sustainable business. The United States census can determine the population in an area and provide an idea on what type of audience to target in order to have a lucrative business. Opening a restaurant in a bad location, for example with little traffic flow and terrible parking, will not give consumers any reason to enter the establishment. A bad location could cost a restaurant the type of audience or consumers it needs to survive.…

The first step in acquiring my business would be to plan. I must make a clear agenda on how to execute my business in order to get a loan from the bank. Without a clear plan, the bank will see no reason in giving me a business loan, and the chances of having a successful business will lower. Unlike other businesses I would like to offer my customers something other restaurants do not offer. In order to exceed other restaurants, I must first check out my competition and learn from them. I will analyze the other restaurants strengths and weaknesses and incorporate the good, while rooting out the bad. The quality, service, and cleanliness of the restaurant will play a huge role on how I plan my restaurant to be. The way I plan will be a huge benefactor in the ultimate success of my business.…
