Care of the Aging Adult
The aging adult population is living considerably longer and is requiring more help with daily living. The aging adult is also becoming more active and some are not requiring much assistance with daily living. Accordingly, the aging adult is surpassing the age of 65 for reasons unknown.
Care of the elderly population is increasing with each day. The older generation is living longer than previously thought possible. The aging adult now is living more active lives and in many cases continuing to take care of themselves in the home. The size of the older adult population will continue to drastically increase over time and the understanding of what successful aging is lies with the aging individual. According to Kozar-Westman,
