Racism has of course not been wiped out completely and it will take centuries for the people to come out of the concept of white supremacy that is built in their minds. President Obama had to stand behind bullet proof plexi-glass when he addressed the nation due to death threats made against him. There is still a large amount of racist organizations operating in the world today. Organizations such as the Ku Klux Klan and the British National Party still have extremely strong followings. The civil rights movement was a struggle to give people the rights that were unavailable to many about 40 years ago. Today, most of people in the western world can take these rights for granted but the fight against racism is still not over. Moreover, the current President of America, Donald Trump, is also claimed to be a racist and it was a setback for many Americans when he won over Hillary Clinton. This clearly shows the racist mindset of Americans due to which they voted for him. During the election campaign it was also said that if Donald Trump becomes the face of American racism then racism will win. Moreover, a caravan of about 20 vehicles organized by the Ku Klux Klan celebrated President-Elect Donald Trump's win with associates and American flags in Roxboro. Racism is still prevailing in U.S. and is reported in the media on a daily basis.
