I think the new label would help people make better choices. One reason is because of the added feature of listing the amount of added sugar. This will help in keeping people more informed about what they are putting in their bodies. One of the most dangerous and harmful ingredients that goes into our processed foods is the added sugar. A lot of times when you look at the list of ingredients you’re not even sure what the added sugar is. Unfortunately, there are a lot of weird hard to pronounce words used in place of the word sugar. The old label does not make it easy to decipher what everything is but the new label does the work for you and tells you right there if sugar has been added.
