Abortion Should Stay Legal Essay
Abortion is one of the most disputed topics that societies have faced and continue to face. Abortion should be legal for multiple reasons in the U.S.A. Abortion Is the practice of ending a pregnancy by removing a fetus before it can survive outside the uterus. Some societies have accepted and some have not. The beliefs and views of these societies are usually into two groups, pro-choice and pro-life. Pro-choice supports the legalization of abortion without the control of government or religion. Pro-life argues that fetus are still babies, thus, abortion should be illegal. However, despite the fact that each side has good points to debate, the debate of legalized abortion has an impact on women’s fundamental right, the well being of a child. These elements clearly argue that abortion should stay legal.
Abortion should be a person choice during the first trimester of birth because at that point in time, the abortion is not only safe for the mother but also, the fetus is not fully developed yet and it has not start a relationship with its partner. The right to freedom of choice is a fundamental right that every person has such as the right to freedom of speech. Everybody is responsible for its action, whether it’s a good or a bad action. There are consequences because people have the right to freedom of choice. Making abortion legal does not mean that abortion will be mandatory for anyone but instead, it will give women the right to decide when and only if they want children.
