ATRA Standards Of The TR Specialist
The TR specialist must understand the 12 ATRA standards for the practice or Recreational Therapy; this manual was written in a format that provides a comprehensive description of recreational therapy practice, consistent with requirements of accrediting and regulatory agencies and quality recreational therapy practice. Also, there are 10 principles code of ethics; in which, The American Therapeutic Recreation Association's Code of Ethics is to be used as a guide for promoting and maintaining the highest standards of ethical behavior. The Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists, recreational therapists assistants, and recreational therapists students are committed to these principles.
