A Summary Of Nemiranda

We have a lot of different great artist here in the Philippines and one of them is Nemesio R. Miranda or “Nemiranda” for short. Nemiranda learned how to draw when he was at the age of five years old. Instead of seeing notes written on his notebook,but you will see that it is full of drawings. And when he gone to college he took the course of “Fine Arts” at UST ,even though his father didn’t like the course that he took. Nemiranda said that art is his passion and art is the only thing that he can do.And I ask Nemiranda that if he regrets something that he didn’t follow what his father wants him to do.He answered that he never regret that he didn’t follow what his dad wants him to do. He said that he was able to get the concept of imaginative figurism through practice, attitude, and experience. His artworks is all about the Angono’s mystic charm. According to Nemiranda,the role of an artist the society is that you are an artist if you like to show something because nemiranda likes to share in the society is that to preserve our culture,tradition through his work. In the modern day, as time goes on he likes to remember the previous life of others and to remember where we came from or the legends.So nemiranda built an icons of legends for us to see our history or where we came from. Sometimes we have more knowledge or we are more attracted about greek mythology that is one of our local legends. For Nemiranda,as an artist you need to educate someone through visual.Nemiranda likes to create a sculpture home by itself.He immortalized the image of myth philippine mythology it will remind them of the past of our roots of our culture and of being a filipino. It should always start on your passion. Mission is really to create things. anythings that you like to present or show, we must show what you can create. According to Nemiranda, that all people are considered are all artist that we have different creative aspects, different way,technique, or scheme to show our creativity or greatness in art like music,dancing,writing, saying a poet,acting, all are form of expression that each and everyone of us has a talent or greatness in theirselves. All we need to do according to Nemiranda is to nurture or take good care of it. All of us has greatness in him or her it is just sometimes sleeping with us all we need to do is awaken it and that is what he thinks that God want us to do. Because it is a gift of God that he created or gifted us a talent and that is the features of being a human being.
