A Significant Experience Analysis
The most significant challenge I have faced in my lifetime so far was and is my struggle with my health. I was in a very low point in my life where I was incredibly ill and daily life, including academically. My grades slipped and suffered along with several absences, I did poorly because not only did my affliction affect me physically, but also mentally damaged me. In example, I developed a stutter, loss of memory and short term memory loss, confusion and struggles with everyday simple tasks, this all affected daily life and academic progress. Thankfully, I did not have to go through the obstacle alone, I have a lot of support from my family, friends, teachers and most importantly, my parents. Thanks to proper medication and several medical tests I have undergone, I am making a slow, but steady recovery.

Due to me going to an Early college my freshman experience may have been a little different. Transitioning was one of the most difficult parts of the whole experience due to me not being able to really grasp what I had gotten myself into. My teachers were very firm in conducting their teaching strategies. I can recall a moment in time where I had turned in one of my first papers for my English class I was so excited for her to read it because I had worked all night on it trying to perfect it. There have been many times in my life where I had to overcome adversity, but my best example was way back in elementary school from the grades kindergarten through 5th grade. I used to not care about my academic standpoint or ego on how people looked at me. I had the potential to be a very smart and excellent student and excelled in school but I didn’t take advantage and did everything possible to not do the work. In many circumstances, I would have lied or cheated so I wouldn’t have to do the work. My grades that I was getting was not a reflection of my smartness but a reflection of my arrogance and laziness. My parents would yell at me all the time and have long talks with me because they knew I was better than this and tried every possible…
