A Short Story: Don T Salva We Have To Get Out Of Here
Salva sat in his seat absolutely terror stricken. The other boys jumped out of their seats and headed for the door.
The teacher crawled away from the window and was heading for the door. He glanced back into the room and saw Salva still sitting in his seat with his hands covering his head and still looking panic stricken.
The teacher called out to Salva but Salva completely ignored him. The teacher began shouting Salva name over and over again. Salva finally seemed to come to his senses, gave his head a shake.
In the meantime there was the sound of more gunshots. Salva immediately leaped out of his seat and dropped to the floor. The teacher once again shouted to Salva, “ Salva we have to get out of here.”

He scrabbled on all fours to the door and ran as quickly as possible towards the bush the teacher was pointing at.

As his mother and sister were descending from the tree one of the terrorist walked up behind Salva and jammed his gun into Salva's back. Salva was so shocked he fell to the ground. This action so surprised the terrorist he fell back and dropped his gun. Salva's father was quick to pick up the terrorist gun and although he held never anticipated ever having to kill someone he had no choice. He had to save his family.
Salva's father told his wife and daughters to get back up into the tree.
He and Salva headed back to their town. They were very careful not to be seen. They saw two terrorists that had Salva’s teacher on the ground and were preparing to shoot him.
Salva’s father again had no choice but to shoot to kill. The teacher grabbed the terrorist’s guns and ran towards town. Salva was able to help them by spotting the other three terrorists and the teacher and Salva's father were able to shoot them all. Salva’s father the teacher and Salva became the town
