Jeanne, great post. What a great dynamic relationship is sounds like you have with your mom. It sounds like you mom has be a great mentor through many trials. There are a few aspects that have jumped out at me as your mother being a successful mentor; these aspects are assisting you to become more accomplished, instilling confidence and accountability, and assisting by using her own skills (Porter-O'grady & Malloch, 2016).
