A city ready to burn

In 1871, on October 8 according to Jim Murphys research in his book ¨ a city ready to burn .Chicago was ready to burn because of one mistake, that happend over night in the O ´Learys house. It was a warm day in October 8. When it all started a mistake that should’ve never started.
There was a problem about everthing, ⅔ was made of wood. The houses, sidewalks, roads, stove, there were trees. The city had previous fires. The barns had hay and coal which helped the fire to grow bigger.
It was a very dry and windy day. When it was windy that helped the fire grow big, and now the people were using buckets to stop the water. When the fire was just getting worse. The people of Chicago were in great danger Chicago was A

    The fire crossed the river because of an oily, greasy, residue that had built up. After the fire managed to cross the river a firestorm stirred up and tore through the city’s Business District. The heat from the fire helped to generate it’s own wind, and in those areas of extreme heat, the hot air was rising away from the fire while other air is rushing in with great force and it begins to produce twisters of fire.
