In conclusion, the job growth for writers and authors is not appealing for aspiring writers; however, the 2 percent growth does not indicate the possibilities for gaining regular employment as a television writer. Although BLS only projects a total of 26,000 new jobs until 2024 there is a way to make money since viewers are watching television and movies on their own terms. Binge watching and smartphones make it possible for writers to disseminate content more rapidly and meet demands of a rising market. Therefore, it is advisable for budding writers to study their craft by obtaining a degree, internships, and reading sources that keep them informed about the latest trends in television or movie content.
