Defense attorneys can work in a number of different scenarios, including his own private practice, to a company under private law, as personal adviser to a private company as a public defender in the local or state legal system, for legal defense purposes profit or public policy, or in an academic environment as a professor of law organization. The potential salary of defense lawyers varies depending on their level of experience and skill, the size of the organization you are employed and their geographical location. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the median income for all lawyers in 2008 was US $ 110,590. In general, wages tend to be higher for the defense lawyers working in a private clinic and those who represent the interests of business
